The Team

Jan has been a keen gardener for over 40 years and an allotment holder since 2005. A past secretary of the garden club and the current allotment committee of which she is currently vice-chairman, Jan has run her own successful business, has been a Parish Councillor, a Red Cross volunteer and is currently treasurer of the Northampton Rose of the Shire flower arrangement club.

Terry, who admits his only previous gardening experience was mowing the lawn and watching his wife work, has now held an allotment since 2009. He is an active member of the current allotment committee. Now retired Terry was a chartered town planning consultant, having worked in both the public and private sectors.

Kevin has been a keen allotment holder since 2011 with a particular interest in growing fruit. He is a member of the current allotment committee and he created and maintains its Facebook page. Kevin is a software engineer and operates his own business managing software development teams and projects.

After studying agriculture at the Royal Agricultural College in Cirencester, Mike ran his own smallholding business before working for 30 years in agricultural college administration: retiring as Moulton College’s Deputy Principal. An allotment holder since 2008, and currently allotment committee secretary, Mike has been secretary of sport clubs, a local league and the county basketball association.

Roger has never known life without gardening including hydroponics and vertical farming. An allotment holder since 2013, he is an active member of the current allotment committee. Trained in Britain, he worked for the European Space Agency in Holland then many decades as Principal Engineer at a UN agency in Washington, DC, designing and deploying worldwide satellite systems.
